| I bought this desk about 2 years ago. Still have it, still use it, still love it. The set up was a breeze compared to others I've had. I bought it because I needed a slimmer desk that fit with the rest of my furniture, and it does perfectly--even planning on gettting the other items from the same collection. My only complaint is that the finish rubs off with any normal use. I've had to use a deskpad to protect it, and I am considering having a glass top put on it. I suggest getting the wood colored markers to quickly cover up any scratches, they really work great. I would recommend this desk to anyone who wants it for the look, but keep in mind to protect it or you'll lose the finish, and from what I read on these reviews it costs about as much to replace as it is to refinish it. Unless you're a DIY'er. Definately buy this desk, you'll love it--just treat it with love and it should last a long time. :) |

| I ordered the desk a little worried about some reviewers that had received it damaged. Imagine my relief when I received it (4 business days after i placed the order) and saw that it was well packaged and didn't have a single scratch. Then I put it together (pretty easy, just screwing the legs in place) and voilá! It is sturdy, looks good and has lots of room, especially if you use the keyboard drawer. I'm absolutely happy with my purchase. Highly recommended! |

Original Review - This desk is made of solid wood and very sturdy. It was a little difficult to put the legs on as the screw recepticals in the legs kept coming out when I tried to put the screws in. A friend figured it out and got it put together. The legs were the only items you had to assemble which made it nice. This and the hutch ar perfect for the small space that I have to use.
Re-review - Since my previous review there has been continuous issues with the legs. They do not stay on. If you lean against the desk it moves. If you move it a leg may come completely off.
I would not recommend the purchase of this item. |

So far I am very pleased with the looks of this desk (I've had it only a few days). Very nice dark wood, very elegant looking. It also seems quite sturdy (which was my biggest concern when ordering it)- not wobbly at all.
Though my desk arrived undamaged and looking fine, the packaging is NOT good. Only one thin layer of foam sheeting in between the top of the desk and the box- so I believe it when so many people mention it arriving damaged- in fact I'm feeling down right lucky that mine arrived unscathed given the poor packaging.
As far as the magnetic keyboard tray goes, mind works just fine (both the tracks and the magnet). It is a bit skewed (looks a little off if you look closely) but doesn't effect the look or functionality enough for me to try to take it apart and realign it. |

| I was looking for a sleek writing desk for my laptop. I am very pleased with this purchase. The assembly was a snap as it came pre-assembled, all I needed to do is screw in the legs. Piece o' pie! I was good to go in 20 minutes! The color is even nicer than pictured. The dark walnut has a slight reddish/mahogany hue to it. It coordinates very well with the rest of my furniture. The price was right and the desk arrived within 2 days! I use the keyboard drawer for my Wacom Intuos3 6 x 8-Inch Pen Tablet. I'm a happy camper! Highly recommended! |
